Athletics

MU Athletics provides an extremely competitive environment in which student-athletes can implement and integrate the University's mission of representing Christ in every aspect of the collegiate athletic experience.  Over 250 students participate in these sports along with the intramural program. 

MU participates in the following varsity sports:

The facilities at Multnomah include:

  • Lytle Gymnasium - features a full-service athletic training room, two full-size basketball and volleyball courts, a well-equipped weight/cardio room, two large locker rooms, and a spectator seating capacity for over 1,000 people.
  • Williford Field - finished in the Summer of 2022, this field is a full-size soccer and lacrosse facility on state-of-the-art field turf right in the middle of campus.

The Multnomah University Lions are a member of the Cascade Collegiate Conference (CCC) which is part of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA). MU joined the CCC/NAIA in 2015 and the conference has twelve full-member schools including Bushnell University (formerly Northwest Christian University), College of Idaho, Corban University, Eastern Oregon University, The  Evergreen State College, Lewis-Clark State College (ID), Northwest University, Oregon Institute of Technology, Southern Oregon University, Walla Walla University, and Warner Pacific University.
