HEB 422 Readings in Rabbinic Exegisis

A survey of Jewish exegetical literature including pre-rabbinic texts (LXX, Philo and Dead Sea Scrolls,) Targums, Midrash, Talmud, and medieval rabbinic commentators. Special focus is given to texts that exemplify the breadth of Jewish interpretation of the Hebrew Bible and portions relevant to the study of the New Testament. Offered on demand.
