LAN 102 Introduction to World Languages
Introductory modern languages topics. Offered on rotation,
introductory modern language courses are taught in multiple
languages. French, Chinese, Japanese, Spanish, Arabic, American Sign and other languages of particular relevance to the general
education core curriculum may be offered as topics courses.
Students will acquire basic vocabulary, sounds and structures
through an emphasis on conversation. Modern language courses
also provide an introduction to cultures and cultural studies. May
be repeated for credit.
