LIN 445 Foundations of TESOL
Intended as an introduction to the field of TESOL, this course
examines current theoretical principles and methodological
approaches in the field of second language teaching. By connecting approach to practical techniques, this course will explore effective pedagogy for the primary language skills of reading, writing, speaking, and listening, as well as the overarching skills of grammar, vocabulary, and pronunciation. Issues of assessment, tools, technology, and classroom management will be interwoven into the guided development of practical lesson plans for language learners.
