Facilities

Fifteen buildings dot the broad lawns of the Multnomah University spacious 25-acre campus.

Instruction takes place in Bradley Hall, Travis-Lovitt Hall, the Science House, and the John and Mary Mitchell Library building. Administrative offices are housed in Sutcliffe Hall and include the offices of the president and the registrar, and departments such as Admissions, Financial Aid, Student Accounts, Human Resources, Marketing and Advancement. The cafeteria is located in the Student Commons, and the Fulton and Elaine Lytle Gymnasium is the center for physical activities. The Doris Coffin Aldrich Memorial Dormitory, and Willard M. Aldrich Hall provide campus residence for students; additional student housing is provided in the Ambassador Apartments.

The John and Mary Mitchell Library is a valuable asset to the educational programs of Multnomah University. The physical collection contains approximately 123,000 volumes, as well as 200,000+ e-books along with numerous journals. With its online catalog, access to a wide variety of electronic databases, and interlibrary loan services, the library is well equipped to meet the research needs of our students. Mitchell Library is a member of the OPALL consortium which is comprised of five area schools.  We also participate in the Atla reciprocal borrowing program which allows our distance students to have access to libraries across the country.  The Mitchell Library team, including full time staff and student employees, strive to create a welcoming space for individual or group studying, and we are most happy when we are able to help our students use our resources to be the best students they can be.  Besides library services, classrooms and two science labs, the building houses the Information Technology Department.

Travis-Lovitt Hall was dedicated in January 2002 and houses the seminary faculty, administration, and classrooms. The main level consists of seven classrooms, including a homiletics lab. On the second level, visitors step into a spacious, relaxing guest reception area. Adjacent to this is the Dr. Pamela Reeve Seminary Community Lounge. The seminary dean, faculty offices, Global Studies department and receptionist offices are on the second level.

Bradley Hall features a lecture hall, and classrooms.

Multnomah’s landmark Terry D. Dirks Memorial Prayer Chapel, at the heart of the campus, offers a peaceful refuge for unhurried moments of prayer, meditation, and reflection.
