PS 201 Introduction to Political Thought
Surveys the variety of political philosophy from the Greco-Roman
World to the present. Political thinkers regularly
considered include Plato, Aristotle, Augustine, Aquinas,
Machiavelli, Luther, Calvin, Hobbes, Rousseau, Jefferson,
Burke, Mill and Marx. Attention given to interplay between
government and religion and the role of Christianity in civil
society. Offered alternate years.
