PS 205 Foundations of American Politics
Providing a big picture perspective of how the United States works politically, by focusing on the Constitutional system of checks and balances that exists between the legislative, executive and judical branches of government. Students will gain working knowledge of relevant and controversial topics such as civil and religious liberties, the art of policy-making, campaign strategy, and the impact of the news media, lobbyists, special interest groups and business leaders on society. Some emphasis will be placed on how church ministry can intersect effectively and biblically with political culture.
