ENG 211 British Literature
A chronological study of major works of British literature. Selected readings introduce students to influential writers, a variety of literary forms, and significant currents of thought. An introduction to literature, these courses include practice in analytical writing and offer students a background in the humanities. Selections from the beginning of British literature during the 8th century through its development in the 18th century, including works by Shakespeare, Milton, and Swift. Offered alternate years.
