ENG 212 British Literature
A chronological study of major works of British literature. Selected readings introduce students to influential writers, a variety of literary forms, and significant currents of thought. An introduction to literature, these courses include practice in analytical writing and offer students a background in the humanities. Selections from the three principal periods of British literature over the past 200 years; the Romantic, the Victorian, and the 20th century. Readings include works by Wordsworth, Byron, Tennyson, Hardy, Woolf and Joyce. Offered alternate years.
