Additional Admission Requirements
Admission to the MABS (HB) can only occur after completing a year of study in the MABS (OT).
- Must possess a minimum of 18 semester hours in Multnomah's MABS program before applying for entrance into the MABS (HB).
- Must have completed one year of Hebrew language study.
- Must apply to the Program Chair requesting transfer in to the MABS (HB) program.
- Must hold a minimum 3.0 grade point average (4.0 scale) in graduate courses.
- Must believe and affirm the essential doctrines of the Christian faith.

Advanced Standing Option

Substitutions
Qualifying MABS (HB) students may also substitute advanced level coursework in consultation with the Program Chair. Typically these substitutions are within the same discipline area, but students may request to take courses in related disciplines such as English Literature, History, Linguistics, and Biblical Justice and Reconciliation. All substitutions must be approved by the seminary Dean in consultation with the Program Chair, by using the Program Adjustment Form. The following are the standard substitutions pursued by qualifying students:
With any TH, BTH, or HTH course
With 800 level Hebrew course
With any 700 or 800 level Greek course
With any BIB (OT content) or Hebrew course
