Requirements for B.A. or B.S.

  • B.A. or B.S.: 124 Semester Hours Total
  • Bible & Theology Core: 18 Semester Hours Required, see below for transfer reduction
  • Major: 30 or More Semester Hours
  • Additional minor: 18-24 Semester Hours
  • Additional Advanced Concentration: 12-19 Semester Hours
  • Electives: Varies depending on major or minor choice.

Select three of the four Bible courses, both theology courses and one Bible or Theology elective for a total of 18 credits.

Transfer Student Option

Students who enter Multnomah from other institutions may choose to take advantage of a reduced Bible/Theology Core requirement for transfer students. Transfer students should let the Registrar’s office know if they want to complete the 18-credit Bible/Theology minor instead of the reduced-credit transfer option.

Sophomores (30-59 applicable transfer credits) need to complete 12 hours of the core

Liberal Arts Core Requirements

To promote educational breadth, all students completing a Bachelors degree are required to complete work in each of six groups representing comprehensive­ fields of knowledge: English composition, speech, religious­ and ministry studies, human­ities, social sciences, science, and math. Students ­transferring credits in the Liberal Arts core education should consult the catalog section, “Transfer of Credit Policies”.
